Dos:
- Link out to sources, including sources accessible through Library databases
- Provide citations to build research skills and allow alternative methods of access
- Embed fair use-friendly media, including images
- Check with your librarian about purchasing unlimited user licenses for frequently assigned readings
Don'ts:
- Upload PDFs directly to Canvas: embed links or provide access instructions
- Scan entire works: seek out options from the Library or IU eTexts
- Embed full-length videos unless required to meet learning objectives
- Assume it's fair use: evaluate each source in its own context
