Search tips:
Start with simple search terms and phrases (ex. metacognition, "science of reading").
Use the Publication date filter to find more recent research.
Filter by Descriptor to narrow your search results by topic.
Use the Thesaurus to browse and find keywords to guide your search.
If you find a book that is not available in full-text, search for it in IUCAT or email your librarian.

This is the go-to search tool for research in psychology. Search tips:
Add search terms like "education", "learning", or "classroom" to make sure results are relevant to research in education.
Limit your results to Academic Journals.
Use the Subject: Major Heading or Subject filters to narrow your search results.
Try the Age filter to limit to specific groups.
Many of these articles will include a lot of statistical information and psychology-specific terminology. Focus on the introduction, discussion, and conclusion to understand the main points of the article.

In general, avoid anything labeled Dissertation or Thesis due to their length.
