*Remember: To insure access on or off campus, always start your searching from theLibrary Home Page.

Give your students the best chance to easily access online library resources by including the following for each source:
Locate the permalink (sometimes called a permanent link, persistent link, or PURL) to articles, videos, ebooks, and more to be sure that your students can easily access resources once they're signed in with Duo.
Different databases and resources use different terms, including permalink, source URL, and permanent URL. To be sure that you're copying a link that will work for students regardless of where they are logging in, look for the proxy prefix at the beginning of the link: https://proxyko.uits.iu.edu/login?url=
Copy and paste the citation to the source. This not only reinforces the importance of citation and further familiarizes students with citation styles, but it also gives them the information required to track down the source on their own if the permalink doesn't work.
Provide simple directions on how to navigate to the database in which they can search for and locate the source. Here's an example:
"From the library home page, go to the Databases A - Z Quick Link and find the database called CINAHL Plus with Full Text. Use the citation information to locate the source here."
