    Discover new library resources that have content touching upon diversity or global issues.
  • New Titles
    The most current list of library purchases, by month. These lists include books, DVDs, government publications, and databases.

New Databases

  • Champlain Society Digital Collection  
    Champlain Society Digital Collection contains Canada’s historical records dealing with exploration and discovery over three centuries. It includes first-hand accounts of Samuel de Champlain's voyages in New France as well as the diary from Sir John Franklin's first land expedition to the Arctic, 1819-22.
  • Daily Mail Historical Archive, 1896-2004  
    Historical archive of the Daily Mail, a major United Kingdom newspaper, that can be viewed in a full digital facsimile form. The newspaper includes advertisements, news stories, and images that capture the culture and society of the time.
  • GREENR  
    GREENR, the Global Reference on the Environment, Energy, and Natural Resources, allows users to browse issues and topics, search for case studies and videos, and search for academic journal articles and news.
  • MetPublications  
    Metropolitan Museum of Art (New York City) book and online publishing program for titles published from 1964 to present. Includes description and table of contents for most titles. Current titles that are in-print may be previewed and fully searched online, with a link to purchase the book. The full contents of almost all other titles may be read online, searched, or downloaded as a PDF.
  • National Geographic Virtual Library  
    Official monthly magazine of the National Geographic Society provides in-depth coverage of cultures, nature, science, technology, and more. Access issues published from 1888-present. The National Geographic: People, Animals, and the World module is also available under the "Explore Topics" tab for downloadable images, books, magazine articles, videos, and maps.
  • Slavery and Anti-Slavery: A Transnational Archive  
    Newspaper collections, U.S. Supreme Court records, manuscripts, pamphlets, and books that address the slavery abolition movement and the transatlantic slave trade. The documents are from the United States and Europe, as well as other parts of the world. Part 1 is Debates Over Slavery and Abolition, Part 2 is Slave Trade in the Atlantic World, Part 3 is The Institution of Slavery, and Part 4 is The Age of Emancipation.
  • World Scholar: Latin America and the Caribbean Historical Archive  
    Reference, periodicals, multimedia, reports, studies, journals, newspapers, statistical data, as well as archived digitized primary documents, which focus on the history of Latin America and the Caribbean from the early 1800s through the late 1900s.
